Gwenellen P. Janov is a shareholder in the Albuquerque law firm of Janov Law Offices, P.C., where she practices almost exclusively in the area of Federal Indian law. She received her Bachelor=s degree from Vassar College and her law degree with honors from George Washington University Law School, where she was a member of the Law Review. Upon graduation from law school, she served federal judicial clerkships in the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. She practiced for thirteen years with the New York law firm of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Leiby & MacRae (now LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae), where she was a partner specializing in environmental and complex commercial litigation. She has lived in New Mexico and practiced in the field of Indian law since 1994, when she joined the firm of Gover, Stetson & Williams, P.C. (later Gover, Williams & Janov, P.C.).
