Carol Koenig is a non-equity partner at Wylie, McBride, Platten & Renner. Her primary area of practice is labor law, representing both private sector and public sector unions in all areas of labor matters, including contract negotiations, contract enforcement, disciplinary matters, grievance processing, administrative hearings, unfair labor practice charges, arbitrations and the training of union leadership. She also practices wage and hour law for both union and non-union employees. Before joining Wyle McBride in 1993, she taught at Boalt School of Law at the University of California for a year. After joining the firm she continued to teach part-time at Santa Clara University School of Law for 12 years. Currently, she teaches a Worker’s Rights class at San Jose Community College.Carol received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Santa Clara University in 1992, where she was an editor on the Santa Clara Law Review, active in the public interest program, and spent a semester at the National Labor Relations Board.She served as a member of the executive committee for the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar of California from 2007-2010. She currently serves as an advisor to the executive committee and is a member of the editorial board of the section’s Law Review. In addition, she has been serving as a member of the executive committee of the Santa Clara County Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section for the past eight years.
