Mr. McCann has been a prosecutor in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office since 1989, and is currently serving as Chief of the Homicide Unit. In this position, Mr. McCann is responsible for supervising 19 attorneys and for overseeing the investigations and approving charges in all homicide cases. He has been a frequent lecturer on trial advocacy, mental health defenses, and other issues for the Pennsylvania District Attorney’s Association, the National District Attorney’s Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. Mr. McCann graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications in 1985. He received his law degree from Temple University in 1989.
