Leeson, Oregon Senior Judge, Staff Mediator (part-time), Oregon Federal District Court, Portland. Judge Leeson is an Oregon senior judge. In active status, she served on the Oregon Supreme Court and the Oregon Court of Appeals. Presently, she is a staff mediator for the United States District Court for the District of Oregon. She also maintains a private mediation/arbitration business. Before becoming a judge, Judge Leeson was a professor of political science at Willamette University, where she emphasized political theory and public law. She also taught dispute resolution, legal history, and jurisprudence at the Willamette College of Law. She has coauthored texts on constitutional law and dispute resolution, as well as publishing many articles on political theory and public law. She was a Judicial Fellow at the United States Supreme Court and a clerk in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She also is a victim-offender and community mediator and conducts mediator trainings. (05/12)
