Hon. Idee C. Fox Judicial Team Leader, Arbitration Appeals and Non-Jury Program Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Fox attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974. She graduated from the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri. Upon her return to Philadelphia, she was admitted to the Bar in 1977. A practicing attorney for 18 years, she began her legal career as a sole practitioner in a neighborhood law office. In November 1995, Judge Fox was elected to a ten-year term in the Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia County. She was retained for an additional ten years in 2005. Judge Fox has been assigned to the Family Court, Domestic Relations Division since 1995. She currently presides over cases involving child support, custody, divorce and domestic violence. From December 2000 to January 2006 she served as the Supervising Judge of the Domestic Relations Branch of Family Court. In December 2002, Judge Fox received the Herbert R. Weiman, Jr. Award from the Family Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association. |
