Lawrence S. Markowitz, Esq. The Law Office of Larry Markowitz, York Mr. Markowitz is the owner of the York firm known as The Law Office of Larry Markowitz. He graduated with a B.A. in psychology from Emory University in 1981 and with a J.D. from UCLA in 1984. Mr. Markowitz's practice emphasis is employment law. He is a past Chair of the Employment Rights Section of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He belongs to the National Employment Lawyers Association and the Labor and Employment Section of both the Pennsylvania Bar Association and American Bar Association. Mr. Markowitz also belongs to the Society of Human Resources Management. He is past chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Associations Labor and Employment Section. He serves on the Equal Employment Opportunity Committee and the Employment Rights and Responsibilities Committee of the Section of Labor and Employment of the American Bar Association. He has served on the Association of Trial Lawyers of Americas Section and Litigation Group Coordinating Committee. Mr. Markowitz is a past member of the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and a past member of the Board of Directors of the York County Bar Association. He formerly chaired the York County Bar Associations Employee Relations Committee. Mr. Markowitz lectures regularly on employment law and litigation tactics for numerous groups and regularly lectures and plans courses for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. He has authored numerous articles on employment law and litigation related tactics. Mr. Markowitz always provides high energy and innovative lectures.
