Marielle F. Hazen, Esq., CELA Hazen Elder Law, Harrisburg Ms. Hazen concentrates her practice in the areas of elder law, estate planning and estate administration. She is a certified elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. Ms. Hazen is chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Elder Law Section and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She serves on the advisory council for the Alzheimer’s Association of South Central Pennsylvania Regional Office and the peer advisory council for Compassionate Care Hospice. Ms. Hazen is the past vice chair of the Cumberland County Office of Aging’s Advisory Council and serves on a committee with the Pennsylvania Commission for Women and the Department of Aging to address issues affecting senior women in Pennsylvania. Ms. Hazen is a member of the Pennsylvania, Texas, Cumberland County and Dauphin County Bar Associations. She received her B.A. in economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she graduated magna cum laude, and her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She frequently serves on the faculty of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute for continuing legal education seminars for attorneys and she speaks regularly to healthcare and community groups on estate planning and elder law issues. She has also served on the faculty for the Penn State Dickinson School of Law’s continuing legal education program.
