Mr. Pokotilow is the managing partner of the nationally-known Intellectual Property firm of Caesar, Rivise, Bernstein, Cohen & Pokotilow, Ltd. He specializes in litigation involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and computer law, including complex electronics and computer technology. Mr. Pokotilow is a member of the International Trademark Association and is a member of the United States CPR/INTA Panel of Neutrals whose members serve as neutral arbitrators and mediators in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. He has also been certified as a mediator and arbitrator by the American Arbitration Association and is a member of its Complex Litigation Panel of Neutral Arbitrators. He is chairman of the Amicus Committee and is a former member of the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Association. He is a member of the mediation and arbitration panels of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Pokotilow is the President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Historical Society of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Pokotilow is a registered patent attorney and is a former United States Patent and Trademark Office Examiner in the field of digital computers. He is a former member of the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association. Mr. Pokotilow is also a member of the Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations. He is a past chairman of the Proprietary Rights in Computer Software Committee of the Computer Law Committee of the Science and Technology’s Section of the American Bar Association. Mr. Pokotilow is a member of the executive committee and a former Chancellor of Tau Epsilon Rho Law Society. He has been lead intellectual property counsel in many landmark cases involving patents, trademarks and copyrights, including Donsco Inc. v. Casper Corp; Apple Computer v. Franklin Computer; and Wawa, Inc. v. HaHa. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s Intellectual Property Advisory Board and has lectured throughout the United States on many areas of Intellectual Property.
