Margaret Klaw, Esq. Berner & Klaw, Philadelphia Ms. Klaw is a partner with the Philadelphia firm of Berner & Klaw, which concentrates its practice in all aspects of family law, including divorce and custody mediation, and in the representation of plaintiffs in personal injury cases arising from domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse. Ms. Klaw, a 1984 graduate of Northeastern University Law School, was former litigation coordinator at the Women Against Abuse Legal Center in Philadelphia. In 2002, she served as Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Family Law Section , and has held other positions within the Association including co-chair of the Women's Rights Committee from 1995-1997 and co-chair of the Domestic Violence Committee of the Family Law Section from 1992-1994. Currently, she serves as president of the board of the National Clearinghouse for the Defense of Battered Women. Ms. Klaw has been a consultant in both litigation and policy matters to the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence and writes and lectures extensively on a variety of family law topics. |
