Ms. Behers is a principal in the Pittsburgh law firm of Raphael, Ramsden & Behers, P.C., where her practice is concentrated in family law. She is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, where she is a past chair of the Family Law Section, former chair of the Professionalism Committee, and former co-chair of the Ad Hoc Rules Committee. She is a current President of the Allegheny Bar Foundation. Ms. Behers is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, where she is a past Chair of the Family Law Section. She received a 2011 PBA President’s Award for her work in the passage of Pennsylvania’s custody law. She was appointed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court as the Chair of the Domestic Relations Procedural Rules Committee and recently completed a three-year term. Ms. Behers is a co-author with Robert Raphael of the Pennsylvania Law Citator, Premarital Agreements in Pennsylvania, and the Pennsylvania Family Law Discovery Forms, published by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. She is included in the 2003-2013 editions of the Best Lawyers in America in the practice area of family law, and was named by Philadelphia magazine as a Super Lawyer in the area of family law. Ms. Behers has also been named as one of Allegheny County’s top 50 Lawyers and one of the top 50 women lawyers in Pennsylvania by Philadelphia magazine. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. Ms. Behers received her B.A. in 1980 and her J.D. in 1983 from Duquesne University, where she was an associate editor of the Law Review.
