Ms. Mott is a sole practitioner who limits her practice to representation of debtors in chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg State College in 1971, her Master’s degree in Education from Temple University in 1975, and her J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law in 1985. She received her certification in Consumer Bankruptcy Law from the American Bankruptcy Institute in 1992 and is a certified bankruptcy mediator. Following graduation from law school, she was associated with the law office of Lawrence G. Frank; she opened her own office in 1988. Her two daughters, Kristin K. Messner and Kara K. Messner graduated from Dickinson School of Law in 2001 and have joined her in practice. Marc A. Crum is an associate attorney. Ms. Mott is a member of the Dauphin County Bar Association Bankruptcy Section, the Middle District Bankruptcy Bar, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees. The Pennsylvania Bar Association awarded Ms. Mott recognition for outstanding contributions to Pro Bono Services in Pennsylvania for 2000 and 2004.
