Mr. Young is a shareholder in the York, Pennsylvania law firm of Countess Gilbert Andrews, P.C. He served as a law clerk to the late Richard B. Kellam, Chief District Judge, E.D. Va., in 1974-75. Mr. Young currently chairs his firm’s Bankruptcy Department. He served as Panel Chapter 13 Trustee for approximately 10 years, and is currently a member of the Panel of Chapter 7 Trustees for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, having served as a Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 Trustee since 1978. Mr. Young has written, lectured and been a course planner on bankruptcy law for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Middle District Bankruptcy Bar Association, and the York County Bar Association. He has also lectured on various bankruptcy topics as part of the business law program at York College of Pennsylvania, at the Widener School of Law, and for the Pennsylvania Association of Tax Collectors, among others. He currently chairs a Hearing Committee for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. He also chairs a Pennsylvania Bar Institute Committee that plans all statewide bankruptcy continuing legal education seminars.
