Martha Van Oot Orr & Reno, Concord Martha Van Oot is a director at Orr & Reno, PA in Concord, NH where she focuses her practice on commercial litigation, employment law and professional liability defense law. She earned her B.A. from Middlebury College in 1975 and her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 1978. Marty is a former president of the New Hampshire Bar Association, a member of the NHBA’s Alternative Dispute Resolution and Federal Practice Sections, Chair of the Screening Committee of the Supreme Court, and is the Vice President of the New Hampshire Bar Foundation. She is admitted to practice before the Federal District Courts in VT and NH, the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. Marty is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation. Marty is also a founding member and former president of the Daniel Webster Chapter of the Inns of Court. She is a past recipient of the NH Women’s Bar Association’s Marilla M. Ricker Award. Marty has been an adjunct professor at the Vermont Law School and UNH School of Law and is a frequent contributor of NHBA•CLE programs on trial practice, ethics, discovery, employment and business litigation issues. |
