Mr. Rublin is a partner in the Litigation Department of Ballard Spahr LLP, and co-chair of its Appellate Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of class actions, appellate litigation, and complex commercial litigation. Mr. Rublin was elected to the American Law Institute in 2006. Every year since 1995, Mr. Rublin has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America. He has spoken on a number of occasions around the country concerning class actions and consumer financial services litigation at programs and seminars sponsored by the Practising Law Institute and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. Mr. Rublin is a graduate of the University of Chicago (B.A. 1976), where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and the University of Chicago Law School (J.D. 1978), where he served as a research assistant to one of the nation’s leading constitutional law scholars, Professor Philip B. Kurland. Mr. Rublin assisted in the research, writing, and editing of The Supreme Court Review (1975 and 1976) and Watergate and the Constitution (1978). Mr. Rublin is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third, Fifth, Seventh, Ninth, Tenth, and Eleventh Circuits.
