Hon. Bruce Cohen Former Associate Presiding Family Court Judge Maricopa County Superior Court THE HON. BRUCE R. COHEN was appointed to the Maricopa County Superior Court by Governor Napolitano in May, 2005. He was formerly assigned to Family Court during his two year tenure. Prior to joining the Bench, Judge Cohen was in a Family Law practice for over 23 years. He became a certifiedspecialist in 1992. He was a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and served as an adjunct professor at Arizona State University College of Law. His legal community involvement included being a member of the Arizona Supreme Court Child Support Guidelines Committee since 1995 and he presently serves on the Review Committee of the recently enacted Rules of Family Court Procedure. Judge Cohen is a past President of the Arizona Association of Family and Conciliation Services. He was a co-author of legislation relating to mandatory parental education and accelerated adoptions of special needs children. In 1990, Judge Cohen was named Volunteer Lawyer of the Year bythe Maricopa County Bar Association.
