Joyce K.  Hackenbrach, Esq. Pepper Hamilton LLP, Philadelphia Ms. Hackenbrach, a partner at Pepper Hamilton LLP, has focused since 1985 on legal issues relating to the design and construction of industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities, including biopharmaceutical and health-care facilities, power and other process plants, and transportation infrastructure. She has a thorough understanding of the legal, risk allocation, and business issues in the construction industry, and uses that understanding to assist clients with their projects from inception through completion—advising on project delivery issues, negotiating and drafting all of the required contracts (including EPC, EPCM, BOOT, and other integrated forms of contract), assisting clients during projects on a “real-time” basis with practical claim and dispute management and mitigation and, as necessary, mediating, arbitrating, or litigating disputes. Ms. Hackenbrach is an active member of Pepper Hamilton’s interdisciplinary Sustainability, CleanTech, and Climate Change Team. She is a magna cum laude graduate of the Wharton School and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
