R. Burke McLemore, Jr., Esq. Thomas, Thomas & Hafer, LLP, Harrisburg Mr. McLemore is a partner in the Harrisburg office of Thomas, Thomas & Hafer, LLP, and Chair of its Workers’ Compensation Section. His practice encompasses trial and appellate representation of employers and carriers from the Maryland line to the New York border. Significant cases include Leon E. Wintermyer, Inc. v. WCAB, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court decision that rewrote the standards for review of administrative agency decisions. Mr. McLemore provides risk reduction and management advice to clients facing workers’ compensation and employment law claims. His thirty-plus years of insurance defense experience is applied to complex cases bridging workers’ compensation, subrogation and employment torts. He was listed in The Best Lawyers in America, and as a Pennsylvania “Super Lawyer” by Philadelphia Magazine. He is a Past Chair of the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Council, and currently serves as the Section’s Delegate to the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He is a past President of the Dauphin County Bar Association and previously served in the PBA House of Delegates. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute. The author of Heart Attacks and the Pennsylvania Workman’s Compensation Act, he regularly contributes as an author and speaker to Pennsylvania Bar Institute presentations. Mr. McLemore was President of Dickinson Law School’s General Alumni Association and received both its Distinguished Service and Outstanding Alumni Awards. He currently serves as a member of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Mr. McLemore is a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College (Phi Beta Kappa) and of the Dickinson School of Law. |
