Hon. Arthur B. Federman US Bankruptcy Court, WD MO JUDGE ARTHUR B. FEDERMAN was born in 1951 in Kansas City. He graduated from the University of Kansas (1973), and with highest distinction from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law (1976). At UMKC he was elected to the Order of the Bench and Robe, and was Associate Editor of the Law Review. Upon graduation from law school, he worked as a trial attorney in the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice, in Washington, D.C. From 1979 to 1989 he was in private practice in Kansas City, and served as a member of the Panel of Trustees for the Western District of Missouri. While in private practice, in addition to being a Trustee, he represented debtors, creditors, and creditor committees in cases under Chapter 7, 11, 12 and 13 of the Code. He was appointed as a Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Missouri on December 18, 1989.
