David J. Steerman, Esq. Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg, LLP, Philadelphia Mr. Steerman is a partner with Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel, LLP, in Philadelphia, where he is a member of the Litigation Department, practicing exclusively in family law. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Steerman clerked with the Honorable William Witten Vogel, president judge of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. Mr. Steerman has been a featured speaker on family law topics for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the National Business Institute, Temple University L.L.M. Program, Widener University Paralegal Institute, as well as other organizations. Mr. Steerman has penned family law articles for various periodicals including Philadelphia Lawyer magazine and Pennsylvania Family Lawyer. Mr. Steerman is a leader of the Family Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and served as its chair in 2003, overseeing issues that are pertinent to family court. He is a former member of the Judicial Selection and Retention Committee and the Board of Governors for the Philadelphia Bar Association. Mr. Steerman is also a member of a group of judges, lawyers, and psychologists who are stakeholders in establishing the Pennsylvania Rules of Civil Procedure and a model form of Order for Parenting Coordination. Mr. Steerman is also a member of a lawyers and psychologists group that meets monthly to address custody issues unique to Pennsylvania, and the way in which they are handled. He received his bachelor of arts degree in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and was awarded his juris doctor from Temple University School of Law. He has earned an AV rating from Martindale-Hub_bell, indicating high to very high legal ability and very high ethical standards.
