Workers' Comp. Judge Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, Malvern Since 1989, Judge Hakun has been a member of the course planning committee, the team that plans and presents the biennial PBI program Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Practice & Procedure, and writes the manual. Judge Hakun has been with the Department of Labor and Industry since 1985 and hears cases at Malvern, Pennsylvania. Since the late 1980s, he has served on the Workers’ Compensation Rules Committee, appointed by the Secretary of Labor and Industry, and its predecessor, the Committee for Referees’ Rules and Procedures. Judge Hakun is active in other continuing education programs relating to compensation law and practice. While in private practice, he engaged extensively in workers’ compensation law representing both claimants and carriers. Judge Hakun earned his law degree and his undergraduate degree at Temple University. |
