Ferguson is currently a state claims and underwriting counsel and a vice president with Chicago Title Insurance Company in Greensboro. Her principal area of practice is real estate. She is a board certified specialist in real property law: residential, business, commercial and industrial transactions by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. She is a member of the Real Property Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. Ms. Ferguson is also a member of the Greensboro Bar Association and the North Carolina Land Title Association.
