George Martin, Esq. Martin LLC, Philadelphia Mr. Martin is the founding partner, and current managing partner, of the Philadelphia Workers’ Compensation firm of Martin Banks. A Graduate of New York University School of Law, Mr. Martin is active in the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, where he has served on the Board of Governors for more than ten years. He founded and was the first Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section of that organization. He is also active with the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, where he has served as a member of the Board of Directors since 1989. He recently served as President of PTLA. He was Co-Chairperson of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association in 1995, and served on the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association as the representative of the Workers’ Compensation Section in 1996 and 1997. He has served as a Council Member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Worker’s Compensation Section since 1987 and has served that organization as Chair Person, Chair Elect, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. Mr. Martin devotes considerable time to continuing legal education, and has lectured on behalf of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, Philadelphia Bar Association, Pennsylvania Defense Institute and numerous other organizations. He is co-author of the 1992, 1994 and 1996 editions of the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Practice and Procedure published by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 1999.
