John S. Nichols Bluestein Nichols Thompson & Delgado, LLC, Columbia, SC John Nichols received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Francis Marion College in 1978 and a J.D. Degree from the USC School of Law in 1985. He has served as chief staff attorney with the Court of Appeals and as a law clerk for Chief Judge Alexander M. Sanders, Jr., Associate Judge Randall T. Bell, and Acting Associate Judge C. Bruce Littlejohn. John is currently a partner in the law firm of Bluestein & Nichols, LLC. He authored and co-authored several publications and articles, and currently serves as the editor of What's New, the case summaries appearing in the South Carolina Lawyer magazine (South Carolina Bar). Mr. Nichols has served on various South Carolina Bar committees and has spoken at a number of seminars for the Bar and for the Judicial Department. He has served on the Education Committee for the American Bar Association's Council of Appellate Staff Attorneys and assisted the Judicial Department in developing orientation seminars for new Appellate Court and Circuit Court judges as well as for attorneys employed by the Department. He is the president-elect of the SC Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and is a member of the SC Trial Lawyers Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Nichols received the Compleat Lawyer Award Gold Medallion in 2002. |
