ALYCE PENNINGTON is a shareholder with the firm of DeConcini McDonald Yetwin & Lacy, P.C. She has practiced as an attorney since 1982, and is a Certified Specialist in Family Law. Her practice includes Family Law, Elder Law and representation of several Non-Profit corporations. She is active in public service in the community. She is frequently appointed as a Parenting Coordinator for highconflict family law matters, and as an Attorney for children or incapacitated persons. Alyce also servesas a mediator. Alyce has obtained substantial training and experience as a mediator. In May 2005 she completed additional 40 hours of training as a mediator. She has also completed training in 2005 to act as a Collaborative Divorce attorney. She is a member of the Collaborative Law Group of Southern Arizona and is available for Collaborative Divorce cases. Collaborative practice is an approach to divorce based on mutual respect, an honest exchange of information, a solution that focuses on thepriorities of both spouses and their children, and a pledge by all participants not to litigate the matter. Alyce received the Alice Truman Award in December 2006, and was selected as the Attorney of the Year by the Volunteer Lawyers Program (Southern Arizona Legal Aid) for 2004. She serves as a member of the VLP Advisory Board and has been a member of the VLP in Pima County for 18 years. She was selected as the William E. Morris Attorney by the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services in 2002. She was selected as one of the top 50 Pro Bono Attorneys of Arizona by the Arizona Bar Foundation in 2001.
