Mr. Folk has represented members of the construction industry and design professions since receiving his law degree with honors from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1980. In addition to his active practice in trials, appeals, administrative proceedings, and alternative dispute resolution procedures, Mr. Folk is involved in many professional and trade associations serving contractors, architects, engineers, and environmental consultants. He was appointed by the governor to serve from 1995 to 2001 on the Arizona Board of Technical Registration, the state agency regulating architects, engineers, landscape architects, geologists, surveyors, and assayers. Mr. Folk is a past Chairman of the State Bar of Arizona Construction Law Section and a member of the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Section. He is also a member of the Forum on the Construction Industry, the Public Contract Law Section, and the Tort and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association. Mr. Folk has written many articles for publication on construction law and risk management issues.
