| | "Dr. Auerbach was excellent. Dr. Lipton verged on irrational. He conflated legitimate scientific debate about a theory with discreditation of the theory. Think of the way fundamentalists deny evolution because there is 'scientific disagreement.' His world view is that his opinion is better than anyone elses. His level of snobbery was betrayed when he made the offhand remark about how he could do certain things before they nurses got so much power. I am sure that kind of intellectual narcissism also is what led him to remove the wrong bone from a patient's hand due to his failure to correctly identify the bones of the hand - something you would think a hand surgeon could do. Dr. Scott on the otherhand held similar views but addressed the conflicts with intellectual honesty." Mark (Tucson, AZ) |
| | "Very good information on medical records. No slides, however, on the last part of his talk involving pharmaoology & neurological tests. Mr. Cohen is obviously very knowledgeable. His illustrations throughout were excellent. The 6 hours were too much to expect from any single lecturer." William (Gilbert, AZ) |
